2023 - A Year of Growth

In 2023, The Bari Group was born. A far away dream, idea, challenge and fear became clear. In 2023, I quit my first job, a job where I had the opportunity to greet students every morning, support them through hardship and happiness and work with colleagues who became family. I absolutely loved it. When friends asked the rhetorical question of “Who actually loves their job?” I was able to say, me! And in 2023, I left a job that was no longer serving me and entered into a new field. In 2023, I became a business owner.

2023 has been a year of growth and reflection. As a collective society, 2023 has helped many of us reflect on what serves us physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. We have seen celebrities publish memoirs and sell out concerts (with my ultimate favorite being PINK!), and we have seen war in too many places with too many tragedies.

2023 has come with ups and downs. Maybe you have experienced a new life (shoutout to one of my best friends of 20 years becoming a mom!) and maybe you have lost loved ones. With all of these challenges and accomplishments, 2023 has only pushed us to grow.

2024 will also come with feats and defeats. As we head into this new year, remember you are not alone and to be kind to yourself. Think of one word or phrase that you can take with you for this new chapter. Maybe it is strength or confidence or maybe it is guilt-free decision making. Whatever it is, allow it to serve you, and if it doesn’t serve you after a few days or months, you have the power to change that intention.

Congratulations, you persevered and made it through another year. I am proud of you.

As always, if you or your child need a little extra support as you head into 2024, reach out to jillian@thebarigroup.com to find out how we can help!

Thank you, 2023, for all you had to offer.

From The Bari Group to you, Happy New Year! May your year be bright!
